A few more pics from the Christmas on the Mountain at the Blackgum community building. We had a great time. The kiddos got to set on Santa's knee ,there was punch and cookies and each one got a bag with old fashioned Christmas candy ,a apple and a orange. And this year we were blessed by the Toys for Tots program who donated toys for us to give away. Thank you to everyone who helped make tonight possible. And thank you to everyone who came out and joined us. From all of us at The Blackgum Fire Department and Community Building from our family to yours we wish you all a very safe and Merry Christmas!

This building was a dream of Cecil and Nannie’s ,to have a place for the community to gather and enjoy. Cecil and Nannie loved to dance and to be with friends and family. After the passing of Cecil and Nannie their family donated the land where their parents home set for this beautiful building to be constructed.

The building became a reality May 1,2004 due to a joint effort of the Davis Family and a grant obtained by the Blackgum Fire Department.

The Build is used as a training center for the Fire Department and First Responders . The Fire Department also host Pancake Breakfast on the Summer Holiday weekends. The build is also for rent, you need a large building for a occasion. Wedding reception, Birthday, Family reunion, club meeting, school reunion......
