🇺🇸 Join us for the 24th Annual Woodford County Military Freedom Festival! 🇺🇸

This is a free, family-friendly event, and everyone is invited to attend!

📅 Date: Saturday, August 29th

⏰ Time: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

📍 Location: Falling Springs Parks and Recreation Parking Lot

Presented in partnership with the City of Versailles, City of Midway, the Woodford County Fiscal Court, the Woodford Veterans Commission, Woodford Post 67 of the American Legion and to celebrate America 250, this year’s festival features a fantastic lineup of live music, delicious food, local vendors, and a silent auction running all day long!

🎶 Main Stage Schedule of Events:
* 9:30 AM – Opening Ceremony (Opening Prayer & National Anthem during the Raising of the American Flag)
* 10:00 AM – David Hilen with Collins and Cox
* 11:00 AM – Hickory Ridge Band
* 12:00 PM – Trailer Trash Band
* 1:00 PM – Caleb Florence
* 2:00 PM – DistraXions Band
* 3:00 PM – Ralph Curtis and The Nashville Imposters
* 4:15 PM – Closing Prayer

🍔 Food, Shopping & Fun:

Come hungry! We will have a variety of food trucks and local craft vendors set up on-site. Don’t forget to swing by the Silent Auction to bid on some incredible items, with proceeds supporting local veterans' initiatives.

TRAFFIC ALERT: U.S. 60 (Versailles Road) Blocked in Fayette/Woodford Counties

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 12, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists that U.S. 60 (Versailles Road) is blocked near mile point 0.3 at the Fayette/Woodford County line due to a crash.

Motorists may use New Circle Road, Old Frankfort Pike and Pisgah Pike as an alternate route.

The estimated duration is unknown. Motorists should expect delays and use extra caution. Updates will be provided as available.

The Woodford County Fiscal Court will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the 2nd Floor Courtroom of the Woodford County Courthouse. The purpose of the meeting is to convene as a Committee of the Whole and enter into a closed executive session with counsel and the County Attorney to discuss pending litigation, as permitted by KRS 61.810(1)(c).
