Tonight, the Woodford County Fiscal Court honored the Woodford County High School Girls Track and Field Team.

​These incredible young women brought the Class 3A State Runner-Up title home to Woodford County for the first time ever.

To compete and finish at the very top at the highest level in Kentucky takes an unbelievable amount of grit, discipline, and teamwork.

​Big Congrats to Addie Moore on her incredible two state championships, capping her high school career with an unbelievable 6 state titles. The whole team came together and contributed to the success, setting the new standard for excellence. These student-athletes have poured countless hours into training, and their historic success this season has made our entire community proud.

​Behind every great team is a village. A huge congratulations and thank you to the dedicated coaching staff, the parents, the boosters, and everyone who supported these athletes on their long journey to history.

South Woodford Water District update Friday night June 5th

We are receiving calls and are aware of the reoccurring issues with the All Points Broadband internet installation project hitting water lines. The contractor Congruex is taking precautions, calling 811 and requesting markings to identify all utilities including water lines. The contracting company for the South Woodford Water District is responsible for identifying and marking the water line locations.

Despite best efforts, the water lines have not been accurately marked and are resulting in Congruex hitting the water lines causing the major issues with the water system.

This is unacceptable. We have spoken to all parties involved and coordinating a meeting to resolve these issues. We are also communicating the state and the Kentucky Rural Water Association to assist in resolving these issues.

We understand how inconvenient, problematic and unacceptable these issues are to South Woodford Water District and North East Woodford Water customers. At this time, we are asking the contractors to pause the broadband installation until we can assure the water system is restored and the broadband project can proceed without these issues and delays.
