If you receive a call, text or email from Ameren claiming your bill has not been paid DO NOT CALL THE PHONE NUMBER that is in the message. Instead, call Ameren directly at 1-800-552-7583 to report the incident.

Please remember that new scams pop up everyday. Trust your instincts, and if you are still unsure you are welcome to stop by the police department and speak to an officer. You can also call 573-539-2580.

On Tuesday, June 2, the Versailles Police Department had the privilege of officially dedicating our police station in honor of Chuck Pryor.

While ALS took Chuck from us far too soon, it could never diminish the tremendous impact he made on our community. Throughout his life, Chuck served the citizens of Versailles and the State of Missouri with unwavering dedication, integrity, and a genuine commitment to helping others. His service as Mayor, State Representative, City Alderman, and through countless boards and community organizations helped shape the community we know today.

The dedication of the Chuck Pryor Police Department Building serves as a lasting tribute to a man whose leadership, vision, and support of public safety left an enduring mark on our department and our city. While his name is now permanently displayed on our building, his true legacy lives on in the people he mentored, the lives he touched, and the community he loved.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Chuck's family, friends, and all who joined us for this special occasion. It was a meaningful evening of remembrance, reflection, and celebration of a life dedicated to service.

Chuck Pryor's legacy will continue to inspire future generations of officers, city leaders, and community members for years to come.

🚔 JOIN THE VERSAILLES POLICE DEPARTMENT!

We’re hiring! The Versailles Police Department is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team and serve our growing community. If you have a passion for law enforcement and public safety, we want to hear from you!

Requirements:
🔹 Applicants must be U.S. citizens and at least 21 years of age.
🔹 Applicants must be P.O.S.T. certified basic police academy or be eligible for, and obtain, a Class "A" Peace Officer license from the State of Missouri before the date of employment.
🔹 Applicants must pass a background investigation.

💲 Competitive pay, starting at $22.50/hr. Will take into consideration applicant's education and professional experience
📅 4-Day on 3-day off flex schedule
