⛽️The 30-day gas tax relief is a drop in the bucket. For most of us, it’s a $2-3 savings this month while the rest of our bills are crushing us.

We need transparency and real action from our state legislature. Not a temporary 17-cent discount that expires in four weeks. Indiana can, and should, do more for its people.

You could maybe buy one cup of coffee with that savings. We love our coffee, however we all deserve much better.

Just twenty-four hours after a provocative social media post warning that “a whole civilization will die tonight,” President Trump caved and agreed to a ceasefire to reopen the Strait of Hormuz amid growing American frustration over rising costs. Apparently we will still be “hanging around” whatever that means.

Iran will now be able to charge $2 million per ship that comes through.

Does anyone feel that we are in a “golden age”?

Money will be made by Iran, since your deal just allowed them to charge $2 million per ship to pass through—a fee that never existed prior to the war.

On April 4, 2026, the Ninth District Democratic Party hosted the second in a series of three regional debates in Bloomington.

🔸Jim Graham: Leverages his technical background in electrical engineering to advocate for green energy infrastructure and engineering-based solutions to local problems.
🔸Brad Meyer: Focuses on his 25 years in local manufacturing; emphasizes ending policies that benefit corporations over workers to help those living paycheck to paycheck.
🔸Tim Peck: Argues that as a doctor and entrepreneur, he has the front-line experience to fix healthcare delivery and bring high-tech jobs to the district. Of note, Dr Peck ran against Houchin last election unsuccessfully 32% to 64%.
🔸Keil Roark: A former UAW Assembly line worker, navy officer, and college instructor. Combines an engineering mindset with financial expertise to focus on the fiscal viability of social programs and sustainable economic growth.
