Woodford County Voters,

In the coming days, many Kentuckians will receive an unsolicited mailing related to voter registration. This is not from election administrators at either the state or local level and may be ignored.

The Voter Participation Center and Center for Voter Information, sister organizations, are partisan-leaning entities that regularly conduct get-out-the-vote campaigns. These are often confusing to voters, as mailers such as the ones put in the mail this week contain voter information that may be incorrect or may imply that a voter is not registered when, in fact, they already are.

If you receive a mailer from either organization, please disregard. These are not official election mail. Of course, if you have questions, feel free to contact my office!

All Woodford County Government Buildings will close at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026 and remain closed through Monday, May 25, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day.

UPDATE - MAY 26, 2026

The Hand-to-Eye Audit was completed and reported to State Board of Elections and Attorney Generals Office as being totally accurate and without any discrepancies when compared to the election results.

NOTICE FOR HAND-to-EYE AUDIT

Pursuant to KRS 117.383( 8 ), to validate the accuracy and fidelity of the vote tabulation, the Woodford County Board of Elections will conduct a hand-to-eye audit of the votes cast in one randomly selected race from ballots tabulated by one randomly selected scanner on May 19, 2026. The Secretary of State will randomly selected the race and scanner to be the subject of the audit on May 20th and notified the county that same day.

This audit will take place in the Woodford County Courthouse, 2nd Floor Fiscal Courtroom, Versailles, KY on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.. The public may observe the audit.

Due to the upcoming Primary Election, access to the vault processing of deed room documents will be affected.

Thursday, May 14th - The vault will be closed. Any documents arriving in our office by U.S.P.S delivery or eRecording will be processed late that afternoon.

Friday, May 15th - The vault will be closed. Any documents arriving prior to 9 a.m. will be processed that day.
Monday, May 18th The vault will be closed and there will be no staff available to process any delivered documents.

Tuesday, May 19th - The vault will be closed and there will be no staff available to process any delivered documents.

Wednesday, May 22nd - Normal operations will resume. All documents delivered during the previous days of closure will be posted that day.

There will be no one available to copy and send any document not showing on ECCLIX during any of these days.

Save a trip to the office! State renewal notices for boats have been mailed to customers. However, our state system does not allow boat renewals until after March 1st.
