Woodford friends, you have a few more days left to sign up for “Egg My Yard”.

WCHS PTO is hosting an “Egg My Yard” Fundraiser this year. We would love to have your support by sharing this event with your family, friends and students. We have high hopes that this fundraiser will be a success. Plans for the monies raised will go directly to providing a great Teacher Appreciation Week for our amazing staff at Woodford Co High School. Show your support for Junior Luke Amburgey. See all of the details on the original post.

Luke Amburgey is a Junior at Woodford County High School and is a valued member of HOSA and the Woodford County Marching Band. A couple years ago Luke found out that he had a brain tumor and we did shirts to show our support for Luke and his family as he underwent surgery and treatment. Luke is now at UK undergoing chemo treatments for treatment induced Leukemia. We are once again showing support for Luke and his family by providing gear. Luke has requested that a portion of all sales and 100% of all donations made be given to the American Cancer Society in his name.

Another HUGE way that you can support Luke is by swabbing to see if you are a bone marrow match. Jessica Knight, the WCHS HOSA sponsor, is working with Be the Match to swab as many Woodford County residents as possible in hopes to find a match for Luke. If you are a healthy adult between the ages of 18-40 and would like to be swabbed please contact Jessica Knight directly: [email protected]
