Spring Election - Absentee Voting Dates and Deadlines
Early Voting by absentee ballot at City Hall begins Monday, March 18, 2013.
The deadline to vote absentee through Early Voting at City Hall is Friday, March 29, 2013.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Thursday, March 28, 2013.
If a voter is unable to vote on Election Day, he or she may vote absentee one of two ways:
1. REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BY MAIL - If you would like an absentee ballot sent to you in the mail, you must request this in writing. This can be done by sending a written request or Absentee Request Form to City Hall, 111 Lincoln Street. You can also email a request to the City Clerk, [email protected]; or by faxing a request to 845-8613.
Each absentee request must include your name, address in Verona, the address where you would like the ballot sent, for which election you would like the ballot sent, and your signature. Requests for mailed absentee ballots may not extend longer than the calendar year.
Remember: You must be a registered voter in the City of Verona before a ballot will be sent to you. For information on registering to vote, Click Here.
2. VOTE ABSENTEE AT CITY HALL DURING EARLY VOTING - Early voting will take place Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between March 18 and March 29. Early voting will take place at Verona City Hall, 111 Lincoln Street. All ballots must be voted at City Hall - you are not permitted to take a ballot for someone else. The last day you can vote absentee at City Hall is Friday, March 29. You MAY NOT vote absentee at City Hall on Monday, April 1, the day before the election.
