During last night’s Township Council Meeting, Councilwoman Cynthia Holland announced her resignation from the Verona Township Council, effective June 9, 2026.
For the past five years, Cynthia has served the residents of Verona with dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to public service. Her leadership helped advance critical initiatives, including infrastructure improvements, water utility enhancements, and expanded community programs and services that benefit residents throughout Verona.
In recognition of her lasting contributions, the Township Council adopted a resolution conferring upon her the honorary title of Councilwoman Emerita.
As Councilwoman Holland reflected during the meeting, she focused on how local government plays a vital role in our daily lives—from the water we drink and the roads we travel to the fields our children play on and the community we build together.
On behalf of the Township of Verona, we extend our sincere gratitude to Councilwoman Holland for her years of service and wish her continued success in her professional and personal endeavors.
