We kicked off library classes this week with informational reading of “The Week Junior” magazine featuring current events and special interest stories from around the world! Students shared and discussed a range of topics from possible life on Mars to remote control squirrel cars used to test the focus of service dogs.

🚀 Join Us for STEAMFest 2026!

Mark your calendars — STEAMFest is coming back to New Century School on Saturday, November 7th, from 10 AM to 1 PM! This free, family-friendly event invites kids of all ages to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through hands-on activities, community booths, and fun challenges. Kids can grab a "passport" and collect stamps at each booth for a chance to win a prize. Food carts and a bake sale will be on-site, or feel free to pack a lunch. We'd love to see you and your family there!

We need volunteers! STEAMFest only happens with help from our amazing community. In the coming weeks, we'll be sending out sign-ups for volunteers to help with the bake sale, event set-up, day-of support, and take-down. Watch for those asks — every bit of help makes a difference!

Can't wait to see all our Outdoor Learning volunteers and experiences this year!

We are excited about the learning opportunities available outside of the classroom. We would not be able to offer these experiences for our students without your help and deeply appreciate your participation by volunteering to chaperone. This year outdoor learning will be on Fridays from 9:00-12:20....
