Toddler Story Time - Wednesday, 9/9 and Friday 9/11 (new day!), 9:30-10:00 am:
Encourage early literacy skills at Toddler Story Time through stories, rhymes, and songs for active little ones and their caregivers. For ages 1-2.

Preschool Story Time - Wednesday, 9/9, 10:30-11:00 am:
Preschool Story Time includes books, songs, and rhymes for preschoolers and their caregivers who model sitting and listening. We focus on school readiness by improving attention, vocabulary, and imagination! For ages 3-5.

Sensory Story Time - Thursday, 9/10, 9:30-10:00 am:
Sensory story time builds communication and friendship skills in a supportive environment. This story time features a visual schedule, yoga, and more. For ages 3-5.

Everybody Story Time - Thursday, 9/10, 10:30-11:00 am:

This is an opportunity for people to come together for education, conversation, and activities meant to foster meaningful and authentic connections with other people. In this workshop, we will discuss and explore communication and its role in authentically connecting with other people.

The facilitator will provide information about specific communication skills that can be used in daily life. Then, she'll offer you the chance to practice with them.

Please note that, though this is being led by a licensed professional counselor, this workshop is for educational purposes only. It is not therapy and is not a replacement for therapy.

In September, Parent/Child Book Club will discuss the novel Wonder by R.J. Palacio plus enjoy activities and snacks related to the book.

"August Pullman was born with a facial deformity that, up until now, prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid -- but his classmates can't get past Auggie's extraordinary face. Wonder begins from Auggie's point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community's struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance."
