The phone at the town office doesn't seem to be working so if you need to call us use my cell phone at 207-460-3998 until Wednesday afternoon. That is when they can get to fixing it. 🙄🙄🙄

Expanded Archery Season:
Reminder - that it is the right thing to do to ask permission to hunt on peoples property. We all understand that if it is not posted you can hunt on it but if you don't want unruly home owners upset to find you on their property while they are walking in the woods behind their homes, with their pets thinking they are safe from hunters.... you might want to do the right thing and ask their permission to be there. Just saying. I understand as hunters you have rights but basic decency and common sense should be right up there with your rights.

TRAVIS CALLED AND SAID FIRE PERMITS ONLINE WOULD BE OPENED UP FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS BECAUSE OF THE RAIN. SO YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO BURN AFTER 5 PM TONIGHT IF ANYONE WAS LOOKING TO DO THAT. YES YOU STILL HAVE TO GO ONLINE AND PRINT YOUR PERMIT OUT OR REACH OUT TO ONE OF THE WARDENS TO GET A PERMIT. TRAVIS SAID REACH OUT TO HIM IF YOU NEED A TANK.

The office will only be open until 1pm. I have a dr. appt at 2 in Bangor that I have to be at. (They are going to try Nerve Blocking my neck for the headaches I have been having) and Marlene can't work because she has her own things going on. I understand this is an inconvenience so IF you need me after that leave me a message at 207-460-3998 and when I get back from Bangor I will come in and meet you, don't hesitate, I don't mind. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Have you taken the Survey yet for the Comprehensive Plan Update. It only takes 10-20 minutes online. If you don't want to take it online come into the office and pick one up and you can fill it out on paper instead and just bring it back to us. We only have a few more weeks to get these filled out and we would really appreciate getting as many residents to do it as possible. Some of you say you can't make it to meetings to help out, well this is a way for your voice to be heard. Fill out the survey. If you don't want your Island to change, you should take the time to say that. If you do think there is room for change you should take the time to say that as well. We all have a choice, what choice will you make? So far only about 50 people from the Island have taken this survey.
Next Comprehensive Plan Meeting is Monday August 17th at 5:00PM

Im back, sorry had people follow me in so i didnt get to postrighr away. But i am here WEDNESDAY JULY 29TH - THE OFFICE WILL HAVE TO BE CLOSED TODAY FROM 11:20 UNTIL PROBABLY ABOUT 12:30 I HAVE A DR. APPT. I HAVE TO BE AT OVER TOWN. I WILL LET YOU KNOW AS SOON AS I AM BACK, BUT IN CASE THEY ARE RUNNING LATE YOU MIGHT WANT TO GIVE ME A LITTLE LEEWAY ON THE BACK SIDE.
