🚨 Get Ready! 🚨
National Preparedness Month kicks off in less than one month, and it’s the perfect time to focus on being ready for any emergency. September is all about ensuring that we have the skills and knowledge to act swiftly and effectively when it matters most.
One crucial skill everyone should know is how to STOP THE BLEED®. Severe bleeding can happen in everyday situations, from accidents at home to incidents in public places. Knowing how to control bleeding can be the difference between life and death.
Here's how you can get involved starting now:
Find a Class: Begin planning and looking for any STOP THE BLEED® classes taking place during September. The Stop The Bleed Coalition will be holding a STOP THE BLEED® Trainathon for National Preparedness Month, and this is the perfect time to get trained!
Spread the Word: Share this vital information with family, friends, and your community. The more people who know how to stop the bleed, the safer our communities will be.
Get Equipped: The best thing to do is to have a STOP THE BLEED® Kit on hand. We have Department of Defense approved STOP THE BLEED® Kits available in our STOP THE BLEED® shop, click the link in our bio to visit. At a minimum, ensure you have a basic first aid kit that includes bleeding control supplies like gauze, bandages, and a tourniquet.
Throughout September, we’ll be sharing tips, resources, and stories to help you become more prepared. Together, we can make a difference and save lives.
Stay tuned and stay prepared!
