building is a registered national landmark facility that was built in 1935. The Heritage Center's Main Hall is a popular rental venue for community and business events, private family celebrations, and weddings.

A sixth-generation member of the DuBose family, Emily serves as Floor Manager and Jewelry Artisan at DuBose & Sons Jewelers, a Vero Beach institution that has proudly served our community since 1912.

As a lifelong Indian River County resident, Emily is passionate about preserving local history and celebrating the people, businesses, and stories that have shaped our community. Her involvement with the 2026 Deeply Rooted: Next Generation event reflects her commitment to honoring our area’s rich heritage while helping guide its future.

We are excited to have Emily’s perspective, enthusiasm, and dedication as part of the Vero Heritage family.

The British Spy will be revealed at the end of the evening!

Colonial attire is encouraged (but not required)—come dressed as your favorite Founding Father, Colonial Lady, Revolutionary War hero, or patriotic citizen!!

Join Vero Heritage, Inc. as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary during the 1776 Colonial Costume Ball on July 3, 2026, at The Heritage Center as part of the community-wide USA All Day celebration.

This unique evening will transport guests back to the era of our nation's founding with colonial music, dancing, heavy hors d'oeuvres, costume contest, British Spy Game, patriotic festivities, and plenty of Revolutionary-era fun.
