You're invited!

You are invited to a candidate meet and greet. We will hear briefly from several local candidates, then Gubernatorial Candidate, Charlie Crist will speak. The evening will end with a Q & A for all our candidates.

Cindy Gibbs – is a mother and an experienced teacher that is running for School District 2. She needs our vote to unseat the Moms for Liberty incumbent, Jackie Rosario.

Karen Greb – is running for Florida House District 34. This district is newly drawn, so there are no incumbents. She is running against (R) Robbie Brackett and (R) Karen Hiltz.

Danelle Dodge – is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Florida's 8th Congressional District. She is looking to unseat incumbent, (R) Bill Posey.

Joanne Terry - is also running for election to the U.S. House to represent Florida's 8th Congressional District. She is also looking to unseat incumbent, (R) Bill Posey.

We are asking, but not requiring, a $5 donation for non-club members.

Hey All!

I'm looking forward to hanging out with you again (virtually this time) this coming Tuesday, January 11th from 6:30-8pm.

We'll be meeting on Zoom ( https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81191082909?pwd=bXE5S2RzM0VqSmdZaUpjbWFGb3k3UT09).

Even though we won't be at a brewery, you should still feel free to enjoy an interesting beer or other beverage of your choice.

We're going to get a little bit more down to business this month and open nominations for board positions, including President, Vice President, and Secretary. We'll also start establishing action committees like voter registration.

A group of us will have a float in the Vero Beach Christmas parade. We are meeting today at noon at Chive (390 21st St) to design the float. Have lunch with us, if you are available!

PLEASE consider attending the school board meeting tonight at 6pm (6500 57th St). This is important even if you do not have children in this school system. We need lots of people in attendance to show our support!

If anyone wants to help with the hayride on Saturday 11-3, as a hayride monitor, send a message to Wendy McDaniel. The event is in Ft Pierce.

Today is election day for City Council of Vero, Sebastian and Fellsmere.

You can vote in Vero if you live in one of these precincts: 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 19, 23 and 24.

Please vote for the candidate that represents you, but if you are not sure, the Democratic club is supporting Rey Neville and Ken Daige. They are also recommending to vote NO on the referendum.

ACTION NEEDED!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 19, at 9 a.m. the Indian River County Commissioners will take public comment on the 3 proposed redistricting plans. Below you will see those plans.

We support Proposal 3 due to: the expansion of Gifford to the south in District 2; the entire island being moved to District 5; the expansion of District 4 to the east of US 1; and the least amount of population change in each district (see box on bottom left hand corner).
