Indian River County is proud to share the latest episode of The Sunny Side of IRC, featuring District 5 Commissioner Laura Moss and a closer look at the work being done through the Pelican Island Audubon Society’s lagoon science program.
This episode highlights what strong local partnerships can do for students and for our community. Through hands-on environmental education, students are connecting classroom lessons to the Indian River Lagoon, learning about stewardship, science, and the responsibility we all share in protecting the place we call home.
We are also proud to recognize the Vero Beach High School Career and Technical Education students, along with Todd Wood, for continuing to produce and direct this series. Their work gives students real experience in journalism, production, and public storytelling while helping residents see more of the good happening across Indian River County.
Thank you to Indian River County Community Services, Commissioner Moss, Pelican Island Audubon Society, the Children’s Services Advisory Committee, and the School District of Indian River County for helping bring this meaningful episode to life.
The Sunny Side of IRC continues to show that when students, educators, local leaders, and community partners work together, the result is more than a video. It is a window into the people and programs helping shape the next generation of informed, engaged, and community-minded leaders.
Welcome to The Sunny Side of IRC where we Spotlight all of the Inno...
