🚨EVERGREEN DRIVE REFUSE & RECYCLING DELAY: Due to current repaving construction, residents on Evergreen Drive will have their refuse/recycling collected on FRIDAY this week only. A notification flyer regarding this delay will also be placed on Evergreen Drive residents' mailboxes or in their paper boxes. THIS AFFECTS RESIDENTS ON EVERGREEN DRIVE ONLY. Thank you.

Welcome Village of Vernon's Newest Fire Commissioners:

Lawrence Canary and Bradley Polaske

Lawrence Canary will take Tom Tomasik's position for a term ending 4-30-2031 and Bradley Polaske will replace Gary Wilde for a term ending 4-30-2029.

Both members were appointed by the Village Board on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, and sworn into office on Monday, June 15, 2026.

The Fire Commission oversees the duties and responsibilities of the Fire Department personnel. The commission is made up of five citizen members and meets monthly as needed.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank both Tom Tomasik and Gary Wilde for their years of dedication and valuable contributions made to the Village of Vernon Fire Commission.

'TIS THE SEASON FOR PEDDLERS . . . PLEASE NOTE, THERE ARE NO VILLAGE OF VERNON PEDDLERS' PERMITS ISSUED OR IN FORCE AT THIS TIME.

We often receive calls at the Village Hall regarding peddlers in the area. Residents can view APPROVED Peddler Permits on the Village's website: https://villageofvernonwi.org/residents/peddlers.php

Please know as of June 11, 2026, there have been "0" Village of Vernon Peddler's Permits issued and "0" applications pending. NO permits have been issued.

Village of Vernon Ordinance requires that all solicitors submit an application, undergo an extensive nationwide background check and must appear before the Village Board before being approved. Approved solicitors are REQUIRED to wear an officially issued Village of Vernon Solicitor Photo Identification Badge at ALL times.

If someone comes to your property to solicit or sell any type of item or service and does not have a Village of Vernon Solicitors permit, PLEASE contact the Waukesha County Sheriff department at 262-446-5070 immediately. (REMINDER: If you feel you are in imminent danger or in a life-threatening situation dial 9-1-1.)

There is a citation and fine for solicitors who solicit in the Village of Vernon without a valid permit.

Please remember, as always, you have the right to post on your property "No Solicitation and No Trespassing".
