Do you have unwanted or expired medication that you want to safely dispose of? The Vernon Police Department has teamed up with MED-Project USA to provide you with a safe, easy, and anonymous way to dispose of your unwanted or expired medications. This service is free, secure, and requires no proof of identification.
You can locate the medication drop off box in the village clerk's office located at 8 Ruth Street, Vernon, New York.
We accept medication in any dosage except for those identified as herbal remedies, vitamins, supplements, cosmetics, other personal care products, medical devices, batteries, mercury-containing thermometers, sharps, illicit drugs, and pet pesticide products, and please no liquids.
When bringing your medications for disposal:
1. Cross out or remove all personal information from the packaging
2. Leave the product in its original container
3. Place the medication in the Kiosk
