This is the time of season Space Farms starts to get calls everyday about baby deer. Please remember if you see a baby deer in your yard or someplace all by itself the mother did not abandon it. A baby deer's only defense against a predator is it's spots and the fact it barley has any scent. For the first week after the Fawn is born the only time the mother comes around is to feed it and then she beds it down. This is so she won't draw attention to it for a Coyote, Bear, Bobcat Ect. to eat. Sometimes the fawn might lay in one spot all day with no mother in sight. As long as the mother feels there is a danger to her fawn she will stay out of sight. So please remember if you see one don't touch it just leave it be. Mom will be back even if she has to wait for the cover of darkness. Please share with your friend.
Thank you the Space family

To the private lake communities administration

Vernon Township will soon be gearing up for our annual paving program. If your community is interested in participating and having roads included in our paving schedule, please contact the Mayors office and provide a list of the roads you would like considered.

We are currently developing our paving schedule and would be happy to discuss opportunities to coordinate these improvements with the contractor working in your area. We successfully utilized this approach with the Board of Education and Barry Lakes, helping to save hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars through coordinated planning and shared mobilization costs.

To my neighbors in Lake Wanda, we're headed your way this year. Our goal is to complete as many roads as possible and continue making meaningful investments in our infrastructure.

Working together allows us to stretch taxpayer dollars further while improving the roads that residents rely on every day.
