Madelyn Arey, a senior at Rockville High School CT, has been awarded the Judith Beaudreau Scholarship from the Registrars of Voters Association of Connecticut.

Madelyn, pictured here with Chris Prue, Vernon's Democratic Registrar of Voters and the president of the statewide registrars association, has worked at the polls and helped set them up for multiple elections.

Vernon's registrars recruit high school students for the extremely important work of staffing voting places.

Vernon's registrars nominated Madelyn for the scholarship because of her work serving Vernon's voters.

Judith Beaudreau was Vernon's longtime Democratic registrar of voters and was known statewide through the Registrars of Voters Association of Connecticut.
