The supplier the town uses for highway salt did not arrive as scheduled. Due to this we have limited quantities of salt and will be using it conservatively throughout this storm. Please drive with extreme caution.

Please use this with respect to the rules listed. This pile is for brush alone and nothing over 6” in diameter. Be advised the Highway Garage is under 24/7 surveillance.

Due to the storm on June 23, 2024 the intersection of S. Smith and Barmore Road will be closed until further notice.

The other section of Barmore should be re-opened around mid-day.

Old Camby Road will be re-opened by 12:00 noon.

Please be patient for full storm clean up. Central Hudson has reported 98% restoration by this evening. Town Hall is open should anyone need to charge their phone, use the internet or facilities.

The Union Vale Highway Crew begins their summer hours as of today. Working hours will be: Monday - Thursday 6:00am to 4:00pm and of course during any emergencies. If you need to reach us urgently please feel free to use the Highway Superintendent cell phone: 845-629-6519.
