Another successful food distribution day thanks to Healthy Start and Outreach Alliance of Ventura County. Many families benefit from a range and fresh produce and essential pantry items 🍋🍞.

Here we have our Healthy Start team working hard to give out the food and even do home deliveries 🚚 to the families that had transportation issues! Thanks the everyone for making this happen.

A special thanks to the Hueneme Beach Festival 🏖️ for allowing us participate. It was a fun weekend where CFS was able to reach out to the community and bring awareness to how we are helping strengthening families.

We look forward to next year's festival and seeing all the families and kids smiling and picking out goodies to take home.

A heartfelt thank you 🫶🏼 to the Ventura County Sportfishing Club for another incredible, memory-filled fishing trip to the Anacapa Islands!

25 youth enjoyed an unforgettable day of deep-sea fishing 🎣, and everyone caught an impressive bounty of fish🐟. One young angler even reeled in an amazing 40-pound yellowtail! The group also experienced the excitement of catching—and safely releasing—a 100-pound black sea bass, an endangered species, making it a valuable learning experience for everyone on board.

A special thank you to the crew of the Californian 🚤, the Ventura Sports Fishing Club, and the Children & Family Services chaperones for making this day possible. The trip was filled with smiles, laughter, new friendships, and unforgettable memories. It was especially heartwarming to see siblings who were able to spend the day together, creating lasting memories side by side.

We are so grateful for this wonderful opportunity and are already looking forward to next year's adventure!

¡Un sincero agradecimiento 🫶🏼 al Club de Pesca Deportiva de Ventura por otro viaje de pesca increíble e inolvidable a la Isla Anacapa!

25 jóvenes disfrutaron de un día inolvidable de pesca en alta mar🎣, y todos lograron una impresionante pesca🐟. ¡Un joven capturó un asombroso jurel de 18 kilos! El grupo también experimentó la emoción de capturar —y liberar de forma segura— una lubina negra de 45 kilos, una especie en peligro de extinción, lo que resultó en una valiosa experiencia de aprendizaje para todos a bordo.

Un agradecimiento especial a la tripulación del Californian🚤, al Club de Pesca Deportiva de Ventura y al grupo de acompañantes de la agencia de Servicios para Niños y Familias por hacer posible este día. El viaje estuvo lleno de sonrisas, nuevas amistades y recuerdos inolvidables. Fue especialmente conmovedor ver a hermanos que pudieron pasar el día juntos, creando recuerdos imborrables.

¡Estamos muy agradecidos por esta maravillosa oportunidad y ya esperamos con ansias la aventura del próximo año!
