Dr. Shocker's Burlesque JamborTease! at the Majestic Ventura Theater is the second incarnation of Dr. Shocker's dream of bringing the class and style of traditional burlesque to Ventura. As an accomplished host he has performed on stages far and wide, including the Peepshow Menagerie, Monday Night Tease and Southwest Burlesque Festival. This combined with

his promotion skills led him to fill a missing need in Ventura's Nightlife. A forum for some of the most amazing burlesque and Cabaret performers from around the country. His first attempt was Striptease by the Sea a short run of burlesque shows held at Hush Lounge in downtown Ventura. When the venue closed he was forced to look elsewhere to house his popular show. After a meeting with the new owners of the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club he felt he had found the perfect location for his show. The club specializing in stand up comedy recognized the historic link of comedy and burlesque and were as excited as he was at the new union. Until the Ventura Harbor Master discovered the show was being held in his harbor and deemed it not family friendly and unacceptable to be held in a 21 and over establishment. So the search for a venue continued. After a chance meeting with the owners of Hush Lounge in Ventura's West side he again found a great venue. The club housed a large stage and a great patio for his patrons to mingle on during intermission. When the club now became Crave Lounge the partnership between Dr. Shocker and the owners only lasted a short time. Now the good doctor has made a deal to bring the show to Majestic Ventura Theater. This historic theater offers so many great possibilities. Burlesque is here to Stay in Ventura and in Dr. Shocker's Burlesque JamborTease!

As ussual my Tetris skills are high, I am starting to wonder if I got to big of a uhaul. Never enough room at the end. Almost time to call it a night and go back to loading in the morning. So much packing and lamps to take down in The Uni Uni The Uni Uni Room. Sad to go but on to bigger amd better things, I hope………
