Here's our Executive Director Tammy Glenn with colleagues from around the country presenting on Standards of Excellence in Volunteer Caregiving. We are proud to work so closely with these talented leaders.

Lisa Brennan from Collinsville Faith in Action took the lead with her committee to collect and document Standards of Excellence in Volunteer Caregiving. We'll be soliciting input from around the country to learn more about best practices in sustaining your local organization. Here we are! We double-timed it last week, prepping grocery orders and ride requests for our homebounders so that our team could come to Waco to share and learn best practices in volunteer caregiving. It's not easy for any of us CAREgivers to take time away--even us! Miss you, Ventura County!

This is our Volunteer Betsy with Tammy. Betsy is the companion to Senior Ken, who fell off our radar this week. Betsy came into the office a bit frantic this morning. Ken had not returned her phone calls, and she was very worried. Together, we tracked him down at a skilled nursing facility where he is recovering from a broken leg.

We gave Betsy a Go-Bag filled with goodies and most importantly, contact information for our office. We are able to make some calls on his behalf and make sure that he is getting the attention he needs.

This is our mission at its finest!
