Who… is that?

Florida’s nighttime pest control team is always on duty. 🦉🌙

Owls play a huge role in keeping rodent populations in check, helping maintain balance in our ecosystem naturally.
If you come across an injured owl, admire from a distance and leave the rescue work to trained wildlife rehabilitators.

Your quick call could help give these incredible birds a second chance. 📲 941-484-9657

A tiny passenger on the way to getting help. 🐦

This time of year, the Wildlife Center sees more baby and injured birds arriving every day. Sometimes they truly need rescue. Sometimes they simply need guidance and monitoring.

If you find a bird that may need help, give us a call before intervening.

Fun fact: Baby opossums are born extremely tiny — about the size of a honeybee! 🐝

After birth, they make their way to their mother’s pouch, where they continue growing and developing. Each year, we receive hundreds of baby opossums who need a second chance, and every tiny patient gets the care they need until they’re ready for the wild. 💚

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the many forms of motherhood found in nature. 💛

These two orphaned barred owlets came to us from different locations with no parents to teach them the skills they need to survive in the wild. To help them learn natural vocalization and behaviors, our team carefully introduced them to one of our injured adult barred owls currently in care.

Judging by this moment… we’d say the lessons are going pretty well. 🦉✨
