Tonight at the library! 🎶

Join us for the Fall Classical Concert Series from 5 pm to 6 pm in the Community Room at the Venice Library.

There has been a last-minute program change, and it is a good one. Woven by Chance throws out the script entirely. Guest artist Natalie Helm, principal cellist of the Sarasota Orchestra, performs with no rehearsal and no set program. You, the audience, pull the selections out of a hat.

Free and open to all, no registration required. Next up: Undine on Monday, September 21.

Calling all local artists! 🎨

Applications are now open for the Venice Library Artist Residency, sponsored by the Friends of the Venice Public Library.

This six-month residency (January 1 to June 30, 2027) is open to artists of any medium. The selected artist will create work during five open studios at the Venice Library and host five programs, including adult and youth workshops and lectures.

Anyone 18 or older with a Sarasota County address is welcome to apply. Applications close October 31.
