Summer Support for Vassalboro Families ☀️
With school out for the summer, many families lose access to the food assistance their children receive during the school year. While VCS will not be offering a summer food program this year, we're grateful to partner with the Vassalboro Food Station Pantry to help fill that gap.
The pantry is expanding its support this summer, and PTO volunteers will be helping open the pantry during evening hours so families can pick up weekly food boxes, including extra items for children who are home for the summer.
This program is open to all Vassalboro families who would benefit from a little extra support.
To participate, please contact the Vassalboro Food Station Pantry and complete their form. Each week, families will receive a menu in advance and can select the items that best meet their household's needs. Food boxes will be packed ahead of time, making pickup quick, easy, and convenient.
We know asking for help isn't always easy, but that's what community is for. By working together, we hope to ensure that local families have access to the support they need throughout the summer. 💙
