On Saturday, MSU Denver hosted the 2017 Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology (BEST) robotics competition. Twenty-six high school teams and one middle school team, from the state of Colorado, were each given six weeks to build a robot from the same provided materials.

Col. David Miller, Jr., Capt. Austen Bryan, 1st Lt. Brandon Hufstetler, 1st Lt. Jose Ramirez and 1st Lt. Marques Stevenson attended the event to show support for the participants prior to presenting awards to the winners of the Game Awards category.
