๐ What an unforgettable weekend at the 2025 Party on the Prairie! ๐
The Vandalia Area Chamber of Commerce would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the gracious sponsors who made this yearโs Prairie Days celebration a huge success. Your support brought our community together in the most joyful way!
๐โโ๏ธ We kicked things off with a spirited 5K hosted by the Eastern MO YMCA ๐๏ธ 21 amazing vendors showcased crafts, baked goods, mums, jewelry, and more ๐ Kids had a blast in the bounce houses from Jump A Roo, met furry friends at the Fuerst Pets petting zoo, and got creative with face painting by Kelly Johnson ๐ฏ The co****le tournament and bingo kept the fun going for all ages ๐บ๐ธ Our parade honored veterans with a motorcycle tribute and a moving performance of the National Anthem by the Van-Far Choir ๐ Classic rides rolled in for the Car Cruize-In ๐ Delicious food was everywhere ๐ถ And the stage lit up with incredible live entertainment all weekend long:
๐ธ Sundown Shot Band brought the heat with their high-energy country rock set that had the crowd rockin'
๐ฅ Whiskey Morning Band delivered smooth harmonies and classic country vibes that kept the good times rolling
๐ค Scott and Mechelle charmed the audience with heartfelt duets and acoustic favorites
๐ Becky Denton wowed with her powerhouse vocals and inspiring original songs with her talented husband
๐ถ Posey Hill Band blended bluegrass, folk, and Americana into a soulful performance that resonated with all ages
๐ซ Ruby Leigh, our headliner, lit up the night with her dynamic voice. Ruby made three little girls dreams come true letting them sing on stage with her!
๐ฅ And the grand finale, Drawl STL, closed out the weekend with a thunderous set of Southern rock, country, and blues that had the crowd dancing under the stars! Their powerful vocals, gritty guitar riffs, and undeniable stage presence made them the perfect closing act to an already amazing weekend.
๐ A huge thank you to Pete Nasirโour amazing sound guyโwho made sure every note rang out loud and clear. The music wouldnโt have been the same without you!
๐งน And for the cleanup efforts, weโre incredibly grateful to our local 4-H group, Kasen Christian, and Dalana Gay for rolling up their sleeves and helping the Chamber wrap up a memorable weekend. Your hard work behind the scenes made all the difference!
