Don’t forget to get your golf car or utility vehicle registered with the City of Vandalia! ✅

Here’s what you need to know:
🔹 You MUST bring your vehicle to City Hall for inspection
🔹 Bring your current insurance card
🔹 Bring your driver’s license
🔹 The permit fee is just $15.00

Once approved, you’ll receive a sticker to place on the rear of your vehicle for identification.

⚠️ Important: If your vehicle does not have a valid sticker, it is subject to a ticket.

📣 Hydrant Flushing Notice – Vandalia Outskirts
The Water Department will be conducting routine fire hydrant flushing in the outskirts of Vandalia over the next several days. Work is expected to be completed by the end of this week.
What to expect:
Temporary drops in water pressure
Slight discoloration of water (rusty or cloudy appearance)

This is normal and not harmful, but residents are encouraged to:

Avoid doing laundry while flushing is taking place
Run cold water for a few minutes if discoloration occurs until it clears

Hydrant flushing helps maintain water quality and ensures our fire protection system stays in top condition.

🌟 Please Join Us in Welcoming Povilas! 🌟
We’re excited to welcome Povilas, a college student visiting Vandalia all the way from Lithuania! 🇱🇹 He has been officially approved by the City of Vandalia and will be spending time in our community connecting with local families.
Povilas will be visiting homes throughout the area to offer a variety of educational resources—including ACT prep, study aids, college credit tools, test preparation, and more for learners of all ages. 📚✏️
He has been very polite and respectful, and we kindly ask that you show him the same courtesy if you see him around town. He’s here with good intentions—to share helpful tools that support learning and student success.
Let’s give Povilas a warm Vandalia welcome! 🤝💙

📢 City of Vandalia Notice 📢
The City of Vandalia would like to inform residents that we have experienced another issue with our new billing system, which did not properly charge COPA accounts.
To correct this, the City has deleted the affected bills and issued corrected rebills. No late fees will be assessed for this month due to this issue.
As part of updates within the system, COPA has been renamed to CPR (Residential) and CPC (Commercial). This change was implemented to assist the Finance Department with proper tax classification and reporting.
🔔 Reminder: Bills are due by the 15th of each month. Late fees will be applied to any unpaid balance after the 15th.
⚠️ Accounts not paid by the 25th of the month are subject to disconnection of utilities.
We appreciate your continued patience as we work through the transition to the new system, and we are hopeful that these issues have now been fully resolved.

We are hoping to reunite this lovable girl with her family! 💕 She was picked up earlier this week and has quickly stolen our hearts.

LOVES to play fetch 🎾
Well-behaved and keeps her pen clean
Overall a gentle, easygoing companion

She’s clearly been loved and cared for, and we would love to get her back home where she belongs. If you recognize her or think she may be yours, please reach out as soon as possible!
