Our condolences to the Edwardsburg Fire Department for the loss of a great man. Thank you for your years of service to the communities of Cass County. We will take it from here “Gramps”.
In Memoriam — Bill Stack
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Stack(Gramps), a longtime and treasured member of our fire department family.
Bill began his service with the department in 1957, beginning a connection to the fire service and this department that would span nearly seven decades. His dedication did not end when his active years of service were over. Until recently, Bill could still be found at the station nearly every morning, having coffee, sharing stories, and enjoying the camaraderie of the firefighters who followed in his footsteps.
For generations of members, Bill was more than a former firefighter. He was a familiar face, a link to our department’s history, and a reminder of the tradition, fellowship, and commitment that define the fire service.
We are grateful for Bill’s many years of service, friendship, and continued presence at the station. His absence will be deeply felt around the coffee table and throughout our department.
Our thoughts and condolences are with Bill’s family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him.
Rest easy, Bill. Your service is complete, but your legacy will remain with us.
