Juneteenth is this Friday! While all of our locations will be closed to honor the holiday, we have many books to help kids explore Black history, freedom, and culture. Come in today or this weekend to ask a librarian for recommendations, or browse our collection at fvrl.org.

It's the first day of summer reading! 🎊

All participants will get to pick out a free book just for signing up. This year, we have separate challenges for kids and teens/adults - check out our website, or ask a staff member, to learn more. In addition to your sign-up prize, we will have a check-in prize available midway through summer, and anyone who finishes their challenge will get a limited-edition enamel pin!

We have events in the library all summer long to celebrate, so stop by soon to learn all about it and grab your own free book.

It's going to be a hot one today! Just a reminder that FVRLibraries is now open on Sundays until 6 pm at Battle Ground, Cascade Park, Stevenson, Three Creeks, Vancouver, Vancouver Mall, White Salmon Valley, Yacolt, and Yale Valley Community Libraries. All locations have air conditioning, water fountains, computers, Wi-Fi, and plenty of reading material!

If you are unhoused and need assistance in Clark County call Council for the Homeless Hotline: 360-695-9677. In Skamania and Klickitat call WAGAP at 509-493-2662.

"During extreme heat, C-TRAN will not turn anyone away who is riding to a cooling center. Passengers should tell the operator as they board that they’re heading to a cooling center, and fares will not be enforced. We also encourage anyone to plan ahead and stay hydrated if they expect to be out traveling. All C-TRAN buses also have air conditioning."
