Hello from Hai and Sesany!

Our own Hai Nguyen recently met with Sesany Fennie-Jones, CEO of Council for the Homeless.

Providing leadership, advocacy, and coordinating the local homeless response system in Clark County, Council for the Homeless operates the Housing Solutions Center hotline that provides the coordinated entry system for shelter, prevention, and housing assistance eligibility.

Council for the Homeless is a top priority partner for Share and alignment between our organizations is utmost important.

We are grateful to work alongside them with a combined commitment to raise awareness and help end homelessness.

This incredible organization doesn't just support people experiencing homelessness in Clark County, they're a hub supporting 47 other nonprofits doing the same. The ripple effect of this nomination is bigger than you know. We are so proud to direct our collective giving their way!

Huge shoutout to our other outstanding nominees — Free Clinic of Southwest Washington and Geriatric Dental Group. Organizations making a real difference right here in our community. Every vote was a testament to how much our members care. 🙌

Thank you to every single member and guest who showed up last night. The turnout was phenomenal and the room was full of exactly what this circle is built on: community, giving, and purpose!

Council for the Homeless would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to all of the outreach teams throughout Clark County working together to quickly respond to the downtown encampments sanitation clean-up. As the coordinated outreach system, we appreciate you all for actively supporting participants during this time of transition, encouraging them to stay connected to outreach services.

(Aug. 4, 2026) — Council for the Homeless is issuing a Severe Weather Alert for the emergency shelter system in Clark County, beginning Tuesday, August 4, 2026 through the evening of Friday, August 7, 2026. Additional resources and increased shelter capacity will be activated during this time.

DAYTIME Cooling Shelters:

Live Love at Living Hope Church
Days open: Tuesday through Thursday
Hours: 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Address: 2711 NE Andresen Rd, Vancouver 98661
Closest bus stop: Andresen at Living Hope Church

Mill Plain United Methodist Church
Days open: Tuesday through Friday
Hours: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Address: 15804 SE Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver 98684
Pets are welcome as long as they are on a leash or in a kennel.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church
