Have you ever wanted to use your experiences to support and encourage other parents raising children or adults with disabilities or special health care needs? This training is your chance!

Through this interactive training, you will:

✔️ Learn new communication skills
✔️ Gain valuable resources
✔️ Explore ways to provide emotional support
✔️ Build stronger community connections

Washington has a new tool for IEP teams to help them develop and implement inclusive IEPs, designed for students with extensive support needs. Please join us April 22, from 4 to 5:30 pm, as we give families an overview. Interpretation will be provided in Spanish and Somali.

This webinar unpacks Comprehensive Inclusive Education. It covers the 3 principles of comprehensive, inclusive education, and 4 steps that IEP teams can use to support learners in an inclusive setting.

The event is hosted by the Family Engagement Collaborative, a partner in Washington’s Inclusionary Practices Technical Network, and sponsored by Roots if Inclusion and The Arc of King County, along with community partners PAVE, The Arc of Washington, The Arc of Whatcom County, The Arc of Snohomish County, the WA Developmental Disabilities Council, League of Education Voters, WSA Head Start & ECEAP, the Equity in Education Center, Manos Unidas, the Benton Franklin Parent Coalition, the Thurston Mason Parent Coalition, Open Doors for Multicultural Families, the Seattle Council PTSA, and more.
