Opening this past Saturday, Magpie Dreams is a collective of esoteric makers, creators and artists, with more than 20 vendors offering magical, mystical and one-of-a-kind treasures. A welcoming space to explore and discover something new.

Main Street is opening up! The 900 block and Ninth Street intersection are now open, bringing us one step closer to seeing the full project complete. A few finishing touches remain, including 100+ new trees, 16 light columns, and landscaping.

But it's all worth celebrating. 🎉

Join us for First Friday on September 4th in downtown Vancouver! First Friday is a monthly celebration of local art, culture, music, and community. Galleries host receptions, businesses stay open late, listen to live music, visit pop-ups, and more!

This month, VDA is sponsoring live music at La Casita Art Gallery & Cultural Center, featuring Mango Twist and their tropical Latin music with a summer-breeze feeling.

The gallery will feature La Tienda Del Sol, presenting traditional Indigenous foods, Wixárika (Huichol) ceremonial attire, and artwork.

A fresh coat of paint can make a big difference. ✨

Through our Bricks & Clicks Grant Program, Vancouver's Downtown Association supports small businesses with improvements that help strengthen downtown Vancouver.

Theproofbar used grant support to give their building a fresh coat of paint, giving the corner of 8th & Washington a new look.

Supporting small businesses and investing in downtown properties is one way VDA helps keep downtown Vancouver vibrant.

Main Street Promise Highlight: Courtney’s Coffee House

For five years, Courtney’s Coffee has been serving Vancouver from her stand at Fourth Plain and Kauffman. Now, her growing business has a brick-and-mortar in a familiar community space: Courtney’s Coffee House at 210 W Evergreen Blvd, formerly Java House.

Working in coffee since she was 15, Courtney built her business on years of experience and a commitment to serving the community. This new space continues the tradition of a welcoming gathering place, with events like open mic nights and live music. Pop by and say hello.

Festival overhead lights are being installed on Main Street! ✨

From 5th to 15th, crews are installing 30 strands of overhead festival lights across 10 blocks…600 bulbs total! These lights will also color-activate for holidays, bringing a whole new look and feel to Main Street in Vancouver, WA.

The Main Street Promise infrastructure project is nearly complete, and the overhead light installation marks another major milestone in the largest investment in Main Street in over a century.

And it’s not done yet! Additional lighting elements are still to come. STAY TUNED! 💡
