🔭✨ Learning, creating, and inventing!

Mrs. Compton’s class wrapped up their Eureka Student Inventor Unit with a hands-on STEM activity where students designed and built their very own telescopes! 🌟

It was a fun way to bring their learning to life while putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to work! 💡🚀

🚢🔬 Science in action in Mrs. Stones’ 5th Grade Science class!

Our students designed and created “ships” in different shapes to test and observe how shape affects a ship’s ability to float and hold mass. They used tools to measure the mass each ship could hold, recorded their findings, and compared their data.

What a fun, hands-on way to explore variables, collect data, and put scientific thinking into action! 🌊⚓️📊

Our 5th graders are growing as writers! Today on the STEAMBUS, they’re learning how to use sensory details to bring their personal narratives to life. After editing their rough drafts yesterday, they’re continuing to revise, refine, and make their stories shine! 🌟📝

💛 VMS IS GOING GOLD! 💛

Today, our halls were a little brighter as we wore yellow to show our support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 🎗️

Behind every yellow shirt is a reminder of the brave children fighting cancer, the families walking beside them, and the incredible strength they show every single day.

At VMS, we believe in showing up for one another and today, we showed up in GOLD. 💛

Because sometimes a simple shirt can send a BIG message: You are seen. You are supported. You are not alone. 💛🎗️
