From April 26 through May 3, we invite you to take part in Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters by shining a red light on your home, fire station, business, or community landmark.
This simple act creates a meaningful symbol of remembrance and unity—honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.
Together, we can illuminate the nation in honor of our fallen heroes.

Van Wyck Fire Rescue was invited to attended Van Wyck Elementary career day. We were honored to be there. Due to the weather we had to move our presentation inside. The school faculty and teachers put a great event together for the children. Firefighters Clevenger and Loomer did a great job showing and explaining some of the tools we use. Firefighters Patterson, George and Lieutenant DiApice were also in attendance. The children were great and got excited to see the Rescue Truck and crew leave for a call. Thank you VW Elementary

Yesterday we were surprised with a gift.
On this beautiful day, the members of the Van Wyck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary from Tree Tops presented a bench to the Van Wyck Fire Department. On behalf of Amy Loomer, Noreen Houle Patterson and Linda DiApice, they would like to thank all of the Tree Tops Community residents and the Pool Club for all your help collecting 1,000 pounds of plastic for the bench.
The Fire Station is the heart and soul of small town communities. The officers and firefighters are very grateful for all TT does to support them.
