The Council on Aging recognized the following board members who have given of themselves in serving several terms on the Council on Aging Board of Directors. Shown in the picture from left to right are COA Director Kevin Matthews, Ralph Shields, Carey Mathew, Board Treasurer Brad Knodel and Board President Greg Amstutz. The Van Wert County Council on Aging is a 501c3 charitable organization that has been serving Van Wert County Senior Citizens since 1975. The COA is also a United Way member agency.

About the Van Wert Council on Aging

The Van Wert Council on Aging offers a wide variety of services to our adult population. Transportation, meals, medicare, foot care clinic, HEAP assistance, tax aid service and more.

The Senior Center center offers a place for senior citizens to come and enjoy fun and fellowship through many activities offered daily. Favorites include euchre, pinochle, and bingo and there’s always a special event right around the corner.
