⚠️ UPDATE: BEACH REMAINS CLOSED

The beach at Van Buren Park remains closed until further notice.

Water access at Belleville Lake has been temporarily restricted after high levels of E. coli were detected in the water due to the storms.

Residents are urged to avoid swimming, wading, or doing any water-related activities at the beach at this time. E. coli bacteria can cause gastrointestinal illness and other health issues, especially in children and those with weakened immune systems.

E. coli does not survive long in water and will usually return to safe levels within a few days. Keep an eye out for updates regarding the bacteria levels to know when it is safe to resume water activities.

Every person has a story.

110 Stories brings to life the words of those who experienced September 11 firsthand—firefighters, police officers, rescue workers, survivors, and ordinary citizens whose lives were forever changed.

Presented by the Van Buren Community Players, this powerful performance invites audiences to pause, remember, and reflect on the courage and compassion that emerged during one of our nation's most difficult days.

Join us on September 11 for this meaningful community event.
