Recorder Chuck Harris is currently serving in his second term as Porter County Recorder. Recorder Harris has been endorsed in this election cycle by Greater Northwest Indiana Association of REALTORS (GNAIR) and Northwestern Indiana Building and Construction Trades Council. Chuck graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor's Degree in biology. Chuck also serves as President of the HUB of

Porter County (formally Porter County Substance Abuse Council) and VNA of NWI board of Director's. He is also a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, Orak Shrine, Sons of the American Legion, Indiana Coroner's Association, Kiwani's , Property Records Industry Association, Indiana Recorder's Association and the Indiana Funeral Director's Association. Recorder Harris was also awarded the 2013 Porter-Starke Community Impact Award for his involvement in the community working with and educating our youth on the dangers of substance abuse and making better choices.

I am truly honored and deeply grateful to receive the endorsement and generous support of the Chicago Pipefitters, Local 597, in my campaign for Center Township Trustee.

A special thank-you to Chris Hernandez and Scott Perez for their friendship, support, and confidence in me. Support from an organization representing skilled tradespeople who work hard, serve their communities, and help build our future means a great deal to me.

I am especially grateful that Local 597 recognizes my commitment to helping neighbors find a path forward, strengthening community partnerships, protecting taxpayer dollars, and treating every resident with dignity and respect.

There are three ways to make your voice heard in Indiana’s November 3 General Election and vote for Chuck:

🇺🇸 Vote early in person beginning October 6.

📬 Vote absentee by mail if you meet one of Indiana’s eligibility requirements. Applications must be received by October 22.

🗳️ Vote on Election Day, November 3. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

🏍️🦃 Fun Fact Friday!

For more than a decade, Chuck Harris has spent Thanksgiving morning dressed as a turkey and leading the annual Valparaiso Turkey Trot on his motorcycle!

The Turkey Trot is Porter-Starke Services Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, supporting behavioral and physical health programs and resources for individuals and families across Northwest Indiana.

As a longtime Porter-Starke Services Foundation board member, Chuck is proud to support its mission—and even prouder to play a small, memorable part in a Thanksgiving tradition that brings thousands of people together for a great cause.
