Congratulations, Class of 2026! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us and for being outstanding mentors to your underclassmen (and for standing in the rain to take this picture). You will be deeply missed, but we are so excited to see where God takes you next! See you all at Baccalaureate this Friday at 5 p.m. for a proper Chapel of the Resurrection sendoff. Seniors, mark your calendars for Baccalaureate on May 15 at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of the Resurrection. The Baccalaureate Service is a faith-based celebration of Valparaiso University’s graduates. The 2026 speakers will be Moses Agbasi, Isabel Gauss, and Rachel Hampton. Seniors are encouraged to invite faculty or staff members who have been significant to their time at Valpo to walk with them. Tickets are NOT needed for this service, so friends, family, and supporters are all invited.

Thank you to all who braved the freezing temperatures and joined us at the Chapel for this year's MLK Convocation yesterday! Lisa Jennings, Ph.D., Clinical Associate Professor and Director of The Valparaiso University Experience (VUE), was awarded the 2026 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award. We also heard a keynote address from Valpo alumna State Rep. Ragen Hatcher, D-Gary, the 2026 Community Drum Major Instinct awardee. If you missed it, you can watch the recording on the University's YouTube channel.

The service featured music from the Valparaiso University CommUNITY Gospel Choir. If you enjoyed their music, consider attending their Celebration of Gospel Concert in the Chapel on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
