We were pleased to host our first Soil to Supper program at the Pinney Purdue Ag Center last night. Those in attendance reported managing 9,316.5 acres! Kerry Nielsen, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, District Conservationist for Pulaski County and farmer, shared an enlightening and enthusiastic program on soil health. The demonstrations he created drove home the message that healthy soil and clean water have a direct connection. He also discussed how practices as simple as cover crops can make a huge positive impact on soil health. Following Kerry's presentation everyone enjoyed good food and conversation.
