Summer Reading Program starts June 1st - not signed up yet - no problem. We've got a lot going on this week. First up will be our first Dino Storytime! See you at the Library for "Unearth A Story" this Summer.

Summer reading program sign up is underway for Unearth A Story! If you want to see real dinos we're giving away 4 free passes to the Morrill Hall State Museum each week. You can register to win each time you visit the Library in June or July!

Today's the day - it's officially the start of sign-up time for Summer Reading Program 2026 "Unearth A Story." The fun starts June 1st... if you don't participate - you may as well be extinct! See you at the Library!

Can you help us out? The Library is looking for a plastic kids pool to BORROW for the weekend of Val Days (June 6 &7). It does NOT need to be water-tight, it will have sand in it for our "dino dig." Thanks for your help!

Hey Hey it's May at Valparaiso Public Library. We're celebrating America's big birthday! There's still time to sign up for our America 250 Reading challenge - it's open to kids and adults. Sign up for kids summer reading program will start at the end of the month too. There's so much going on - see you at the Library!

Valparaiso Public Library visited all Raymond Central K-5th Grade classes this week for National Library Week. We talked about the importance of reading and learning during the summer months. Here's a copy of the flyer we handed out about our summer reading program, in case your copy is still at the bottom of your kids backpack. It's going to be a great summer!
