AEP Ohio has a scheduled power outage on Tuesday, March 3rd from approximately 8am-1pm. This outage will allow crews to safely make upgrades to the electric grid to help keep your power flowing. Effective areas include parts of Eldon Ave and Dibblee Ave. In the event of bad weather the outage will be rescheduled to March 10th from 8am-1pm. If you are a landlord and are responsible for your tenants power, please be sure to tell them about the outage so they can plan accordingly. Diesel Smell in the Village

Please be advised that the diesel smell throughout the village is due to a train car that leaked fuel near the Phillipi Rd and Fisher Rd area that reached the nearby creek. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has investigated and have found no danger to residents. We also have Environmental Remediation Contractor (erc) tracking it through our creek until it reaches the Scioto river. We anticipate the smell to dissipate as rains speed up the flow of the creek.

Thank you to Mayor Mattox, Council Member Jared Ehrman, and Doug Ehrman for planting trees around Village Hall and the park! The trees were obtained through the Franklinton Tree Giveaway. A total of 8 trees were planted!
