Student Spotlight! Peyton Shines at WA State 4-H Equine Presentation Contest
The results are in from this year’s Washington State 4-H Equine Presentation Contest, and one young competitor has stood out with remarkable success. CVA 8th grader, Peyton, delivered an exceptional performance, earning an impressive score of 92.7 out of 100 to secure first place in the Intermediate Individual Presentation category. Her presentation, which focused on Barefoot Trimming, received high praise from judges, who commended both her knowledge and delivery.
Encouraged by the positive feedback, Peyton is already looking ahead and making plans for next year’s competition, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and improvement within the 4-H equine program.
This latest achievement adds to what has been an outstanding year for Peyton at the state level in equine education contests. Her accomplishments include being named Grand Champion in judging, as well as earning Reserve Champion in Intermediate Individual Hippology. She also contributed to strong team performances, helping secure third-place finishes for her teams in both Intermediate Hippology and Horse Bowl competitions.
Capping off her exceptional season, Peyton earned the title of Grand Champion for Intermediate Individual Presentation, solidifying her status as a leading competitor in Washington’s 4-H equine program. Her dedication, hard work, and passion for equine education have made this a truly memorable and successful year.
