Boo Bash was a blast! Over 800 Narwhals came together to enjoy music, treats, creative displays, and most importantly, each other’s company!

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered to help make the event a success! Special shout out to our Caregiver Boo Bash Leads- Jenni, Rachel, Julianna, and Alison!

On October 15th, alongside millions of Californians, our Narwhals participated in the Great Shake Out, joining schools, families, businesses, and organizations across the state in practicing earthquake safety and preparedness.

Our community practiced taking cover, safely getting from one place to another, and gathering in our outdoor area. Our staff also practiced essential emergency protocols including Search and Rescue, First Aid, and reuniting students with caregivers.

If your family doesn’t already have an emergency plan, now is a great time to create one and talk through it together!

Today we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month at our September Assembly! Our upper-grade students shared interesting facts and important information about influential Hispanic people, helping us learn more about the people and stories that have shaped our world. Students also enjoyed/learned about different genres of music, the World Cup, and which countries some of our favorite food comes from!

We also had the joy of celebrating our September Changemaker Award Recipients! These students are making a difference in our Narwhal community by consistently living our Narwhal Skills of Safe, Kind, Inclusive, Learner, and Leader!

POV: We asked for a smile and they understood the assignment.

Just a few of our favorite Picture Day faces!

Thank you to our photographer BingBuen IMAGES and her team, which included EV caregivers, for having fun with our students and capturing their personalities!

Spirit Day 3 of 3! Superheroes Day!

3 things we learned today:

1. Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes they wear tutus or just a t-shirt with shorts.

2. Heroes need time to eat too!

3. Real heroes are around us every single day.

Another Spirit Day in the books! Matching outfits all around… some intentionally and some by surprise! Either way, it was a fun day seeing double, triple, or more!

Today was East Valley Narwhal Spirit Day! The school was filled with Narwhal pride! We loved seeing shirts from throughout the years! Every shirt tells a little piece of our Narwhal Story!

Today, TK through 6th grade enjoyed our first ALL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY of the year! We kicked off the year by stamping school wide expectations through an interactive quiz and some role playing! We also shared the new Narwhal High Five and highlighted ways to earn a Changemaker Award! We ended the assembly by celebrating all our August Birthday Narwhals! Happy Friday!

Help East Valley finish strong!

As we close out the school year, CWC East Valley is working to close our remaining Annual Giving gap. These funds help support the programs, teachers, and services our Narwhals count on — including PE, Music, Art, field trips, professional development, DEIB, SEL, and inquiry-based learning.

Every gift, of any size, helps us get closer to our goal.

Plus, every student who participates in this special Close-the-Gap campaign will be entered into a drawing for the chance to pie a staff member on the last day of school, Friday, June 12!

Please consider making a gift by June 11: cwceastvalley.org/closethegap
