The City of Streetsboro is now accepting applications for a full-time Police Dispatcher/Records Clerk.
To be considered, all new hire candidates must successfully complete the required test through the National Testing Network (NTN). The testing window is open until July 25, 2025. (**2pm update 7/14, due to a clerical issue the NTN window isn't open yet but it will be soon, we will update when it is. **4:17pm The NTN post is now open.**)
We’ve also upgraded our in-person typing test to better reflect the real-world skills needed for dispatching. ***If you didn’t pass the typing test in the past, we encourage you to come back and give the new format a try - it may be a much better fit for your abilities.***
If you’ve applied through NTN within the last year, you only need to resubmit your test scores to be considered.

K9 Noras is back to work from his surgery. On day 1 and 2 hours into his shift K9 Noras crawled under a car and showed alert behavior on a free air sniff of a vehicle stopped on OH-170. Over an ounce of suspected narcotics was located under the hard plastic of the vehicle by his partner Officer Jackson. Always Trust the nose…..the nose knows!
