ALERT CANCELED. REPORTING PARTY RECANTED, AND THERE IS NO MISSING CHILD.
The St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons detectives have been able to confirm that there was never an abducted child from the 9800 block of New Hampshire Avenue in the Affton-Southwest Precinct.

While we are extremely grateful that there is no child in danger, we want to be very clear - we will use all available resources to ensure our community members, especially the most vulnerable among us, are safe.

Detectives are seeking charges against the two women involved in this hoax. Thank you to all our law enforcement partners, including the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and St. Charles City Police Department, who provided resources and tips for the search.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE AND TIPS. WE APPRECIATE OUR COMMUNITY.

Do you know these individuals? We are attempting to identify three persons of interest in connection with two separate crimes; however, all three were occupying the same vehicle.

Sometime between Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at approximately 07:55 a.m. and Thursday, February 26, 2026, at approximately 07:30 p.m., unknown subject(s) entered an unlocked silver 2012 Chrysler Town and Country, in the 4800 block of Hannover Avenue in the Affton-Southwest Precinct. The subject(s) located a spare key inside the vehicle and drove off with the vehicle. Inside the Chrysler, they found a debit card. They later used that card while occupying a blue Jeep Cherokee.

Then, sometime between the late-night hours of March 9th and the early-morning hours of March 10th, the subject(s) broke into a vehicle in the 1000 block of Poplar Drive and stole a credit card. The subject(s) then fraudulently used the credit card. The subject(s) using the stolen credit card were occupying the same blue Jeep Cherokee used in the above-mentioned crime.

Surveillance cameras captured the vehicle and three persons of interest.

If you have any information about these subjects or the vehicle, please contact Detective Nickolaus at [email protected] or call 314-615-8635.
