Welcome to our page and the 1st Annual Miss Mentone Pageant created and hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #215 in Mentone, Alabama.

Our pageant is similar to other pageants in the way we will have crowns, sashes, and other awards and scholarships! What makes us stand out are two things: we are NOT a glitz/glam focused pageant and we ARE focused on serving our military veteran community members and their families.

If you like what you have read so far and you live in Alabama (no set locations), between the ages of 4-19 years old, if you are school-aged and in a public or private school or homeschool, complete the registration form, pay the registration fee, and love military veterans, then you qualify to be a participant!

Did we mention the add-ons??? We have two add-ons:

$5 Miss Photogenic (each age category)

$5 Miss Tabby (soda tab tops from aluminum cans, used for a charity that American Legion Auxiliary supports statewide).

Add-ons are paid on the day of the pageant in cash or various electronic payment methods.

After you complete the registration form you will receive an email with details about the categories and additional information.

We are super excited to meet every one of you and look forward to this year’s pageant!

The September Council meeting will be held on Monday, September 14th due to the Labor Day Holiday. Our meeting begins at 6:00 pm and the public is always welcome.

I am so very pleased to announce we have been awarded a very generous grant from the AMRV - RC&D, to purchase new turnouts for our volunteer firefighters! We applied for this grant in the spring and were recently notified that we will be awarded the funding. It is enough to purchase 4 complete sets. I
will be attending a required grant training course in Guntersville later this month, and we should receive the funds shortly afterwards. Our volunteer firefighters deserve the very best equipment and we are so grateful for this opportunity to protect them all.
