We hope you can join us on Monday for the Memorial Day parade. Please note that this is a solemn and respectful parade held in remembrance and honor. To maintain the appropriate atmosphere, there will be no throwing of candy, giveaways, or similar items during the procession.

A heartfelt thank you to Valley City VFW Post #5563 for their dedication in honoring our fallen veterans through the Memorial Day parade. We are grateful for all you do to keep their memory alive and to bring our community together in remembrance and respect.

The waxing gibbous moon looks down on the renovation/repair of the St. Martin of Tours education building on Station Rd. This structure was built in 1965 on the spot formerly occupied by the old church that was built in 1849.

Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 6656 Center Rd. Established in 1838 when German immigrants settled here. Church was erected in 1869. The horse shed appears behind the church in the old photo. The 5,000 sq. foot addition that contains a kitchen, hall, and library was constructed in 1963. The color photos of the church appearing here were taken March 2, 2026.
