Generations of students, families, teachers, and staff came together for a special Pennycook Elementary reunion, sharing memories, reconnecting with old friends, and celebrating the school's lasting legacy.

From flipping through decades of yearbooks to sharing stories and hugs, the event was a reminder that Pennycook has always been more than a school buildingβ€”it's a community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to honor the history, relationships, and spirit that have made Pennycook such a special place for so many.

Students explored their futures at the Expanded Learning Program's first-ever Career Day!

Hosted at Vallejo Charter School, this exciting hands-on event, provided by BDC LLC, brought together industry professionals from companies including Google, Tesla, Apple, Walmart, Amazon, Schneider Electric, and more to introduce students to a wide range of career pathways.

Through interactive activities and real-world experiences, Expanded Learning students in grades 5–8 had the opportunity to explore careers in technology, engineering, business, science, the arts, and beyond.

More than 200 Expanded Learning students from across the district participated in this inaugural event, making it a tremendous success.

Thank you to our community partners, vendors, volunteers, and Expanded Learning staff for helping inspire the next generation of innovators, creators, and leaders. The future is bright!

One community. Four ceremonies. Hundreds of dreams realized.

Last week, graduates from Jesse Bethel High School, Vallejo High School, John Finney High School, and Vallejo Adult School crossed the stage and celebrated the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and determination.

From heartfelt speeches and proud family moments to the turning of tassels, each ceremony reflected the resilience and promise of the Class of 2026.

Congratulations, graduates! Your future is bright, and we are proud to celebrate this milestone with you. πŸ’™πŸ’›
